Wednesday 16th April 2014 Vietnam: RV AmaLotus - Tan Chau - The Border With Cambodia But A Day Best Forgotten For Me!

I will never know the source of the illness that befell me yesterday evening but suffice it to say after a night spent mainly in the toilet I realised that I had at best no more than a tummy upset or a worst a nasty tummy bug. It turned out to be the latter. Although I had some breakfast and felt better I decided not to venture out in the heat and humidity but spent a quiet morning aboard reading, as did a few other fellow guests who were finding the heat and humidity challenging. It was only a short excursion to a local village before the RV AmaLotus set off for the border with Cambodia.

The formalities at the border took some time and I continued to feel unwell and was given something to try and settle my stomach by our tour guide. I really don’t remember much about the rest of the day except having ginger tea and soup delivered to my cabin and Trang my beautiful cabin stewardess trying to cheer me up with some towel sculptures (See photos).
