Sunday 20th April 2014 Cambodia: RV AmaLotus - Kampong Cham - Buddhas, Monkeys & Bamboo Bridges

A short distance away from Nokor is another religious site known as the Twin Holy Mountain.  Sorry but I can neither remember the significance or origin of this holy site nor has my research yielded any clues.

My photos record a central temple in a park containing hundreds of statues of Buddhas.  Pilgrims and believers have donated each statue as part of their faith.  The bigger the statue, the bigger the donation!!

Playing among the statues were many Monkeys.

On the way back we stopped to view one of the longest Bamboo bridges in Cambodia that is reconstructed every year after the monsoon and floods. Someone who shall be nameless bought yet more Durian fruit!!
