Tea over we emerged to clearer skies and a bustling market as the locals emerged to buy their evening meal – so motorbikes everywhere.
There was a lady selling Durian fruit – you know the one that stinks but tastes good – outside the Lover’s House and I got my first taste. Courtesy of Lesley the photo shows what I thought of it!!
We spent a further few minutes outside a rice shop (Owned by the uncle of our guide – who seemed to have a glut of uncles and aunts!) being educated about the 14 different types and grades of rice available in this part of Vietnam. Nothing is wasted; even broken rice grains are sold as the cheapest form of rice.
