Well sadly the Blog didn’t get off the blocks for nearly a year for various reasons some of which I will describe – e.g. hospitalisation last June as a result of a gut bacteria acquired somewhere in Vietnam or Cambodia, major re-landscaping of my estate, a fantastic cruise to Iceland and the Faroe islands and trying to rid the house of 40 years of accumulated tat. Despite the ‘sting in the tail’ with the reoccurrence of the bacterial infection it has not cast a shadow over this tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. I might not visit this part of the world again for some time but I’m very pleased that I accepted the invitation to join my Australian friends - Lesley and Bob – on this holiday.
The photo is of one of the most memorable moments of this trip that took place around the Bayon ruins in Angkor Wat on the last full day.
