This evening we were to enjoy according to the Itinerary ‘an exclusive Luke Nguyen designed degustation menu at the Xu Restaurant. Unless you are totally ignorant like me then you might be forgiven for wondering what this meant – disgusting vs degustation? I knew in my mind that this meant what we would call in the UK a gourmet or taster menu designed and prepared by a Michelin Starred Chef. Well as you can see from the menu it was all of this and now as I write this posting my ignorance is confirmed since the Oxford English Dictionary gives the definition of degustation as: ‘Taste something carefully to appreciate it fully’ – so I did and another memorable meal it proved to be!
