This afternoon was to be the first of a number of rickshaw, cart and back of motorcycle taxi rides – the latter being the most thrilling in Saigon but that is to come – scheduled at various stages in the itinerary.
So here I am in the first form of Rickshaw ready for a tour of the Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Apart from being ‘cut-up’ by the hundreds of motorcycles, and bicycles it proved to be a relatively calm way to observe ‘Street Life’ in all its colourful vibrance and diversity and hopefully this is reflected in the photos. I could not resist the photo of the electricity supply arrangements! One has to wonder how much of this is actually paid for!!
